Apply for Artists Association Membership

Artspace Artists Association Application Deadline: April 1 & Sept. 2

All entries must be submitted through www.callforentry.org (CaFÉ).

Artspace Artists Association (AAA) is an organization of artists working together to promote growth of the individual artist, to provide an environment of interaction with other artists and with the public, and to foster the mission of Artspace. Professional artists interested in becoming a member of the Artspace Artists Association must be juried in. Please see the AAA prospectus below for jury information.

Artspace Artists Association Membership benefits include participation in the Artspace hall exhibitions, opportunities for solo exhibitions in the Artspace Lobby, opportunities for solo or two-person shows in the Upfront Gallery, the opportunity to be selected for AAA-only group exhibitions in Gallery 1 (one annual juried exhibition/one biennial three-person exhibition), and sales opportunities through the above exhibitions and the Artspace gift shop (30% commission taken).

Artspace Artists have the opportunity to participate in the leadership and direction of the Association by participating on committees as an Artspace Artists Association officer or on the Board of Directors of Artspace, Inc. AAA members may also rent studio space in the Artspace building as space becomes available and requirements can be met. There is no commission charged on studio sales.

Artspace Artists Association annual membership dues are $80. The dues include individual membership to Artspace, Inc. These benefits include complimentary subscription to the Artspace newsletter; special mailings for exhibitions, programs and special events; discounts on classes, workshops and events; invitations to “Members Only” events; 10% discount on purchases from the gift shop and exhibition and hallway art purchases; invitation to the Members Annual Meeting; and the knowledge that your Artspace membership is helping to further the mission of Artspace, Inc., a nonprofit arts center.

The healthy existence of Artspace benefits area artists through exhibition opportunities, the educational aspect of viewing exhibitions by regional, national and international artists, by offering classes, by educating the public about art and artists, by nurturing artistic instincts and abilities in children, and by publicizing the diverse artistic offerings in our community.
